Hi, I’m Fran, Mother of 4 wonderful children, wife and owner, creator and chief decorator at Bring Out The Cake!

As a child I always had a passion for baking and an interest in decorating cakes, I always knew that when I became a mother that I wanted to create amazing cakes for my children. Birthdays have always been a big deal to me!

When my eldest son was turning 2 he was obsessed with a show called Chuggington, I knew I had to make him an awesome cake that he would love. I searched the web looking for inspiration, finally I found an online tutorial, it cost $20 and was 80 pages long. For two weeks I worked on the cake every night, following the instructions carefully, I colored the icing, made the characters and all the different elements of the cake. I really enjoyed the process and after watching it all come together, I was hooked! It was soon after this I enrolled into my first cake decorating class.

A few years into my cake journey we added to our family with twin girls, and with the support of my husband, my cake journey continued with more classes and creating elaborate cakes for family and friends.

For me, cake decorating was a way for me to get some ‘me’ time, it relaxed me. It became something I could be proud of my achievement. With each cake I was learning something new, and could see my skills grow and improve with each cake I created.

Soon after my twins turned 2, I recognised that my cake skills were at a level I was happy with and I took the leap and started my business. I love that each cake is unique and love a challenge; it’s always rewarding seeing the customer’s reaction to my creation for their special event.
